NEW YORK, May 15, 2026–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Putnam Managed Municipal Income Trust (NYSE: PMM), Putnam Master Intermediate Income Trust (NYSE: PIM), Putnam Municipal Opportunities Trust (NYSE: PMO) and Putnam Premier Income Trust (NYSE: PPT) (each a “Fund” or together, the “Funds”) announced today upcoming name changes for the Funds, effective on or around July 15, 2026 (the “Effective Date”).

As of the Effective Date, each Fund will be renamed as follows.

Putnam Managed Municipal Income Trust

Franklin Managed Municipal Income Trust

Putnam Master Intermediate Income Trust

Franklin Master Intermediate Income Trust

Putnam Municipal Opportunities Trust

Franklin Municipal Opportunities Trust

Putnam Premier Income Trust

Franklin Premier Income Trust

The name changes do not impact current Fund investment objectives, strategies, or policies. Additionally, each Fund’s ticker symbol and CUSIP will not change.
